3 Ways to Incorporate Skin Care into an Already Overcrowded Schedule

There's always time to take care of YOU! Here are 3 Ways to Add Skincare to an already overcrowded schedule. #CeraVeSkincare #CollectiveBias

For as long as I can remember I’ve had dry skin, but up until a couple years ago I never gave it much thought. I am a busy woman, never wear much make-up, and have yet to find time for a beauty regime. I take care of myself; exercise, eat right, drink lots of water, sleep well, etc.. Isn’t that enough?

Somewhere around 38, I noticed the morning pillow creases across my face were taking longer to go away. I know, I know…this was my body saying, “Hey there beautiful! We’re a little parched think you could help us out?” The problem was there was always something else that I needed to do first, and without my realizing it I became one of those women who forgot to take care of her skin.

I’m not an expert but I’m going to guess that one of the top reasons many women (like me) don’t take care of themselves is because of time constraints. But ladies...we have to make the time! So today I’m sharing three ways I’ve found to incorporate skin care into my already overcrowded schedule.

1. FIND A GREAT PRODUCT LINE

A great product is efficient and does what it says; which ends up saving you time by providing you results.

You can find CeraVe at Walmart on the skincare, sunscreen, and body lotion aisles. #CeraVeSkinCare #CollectiveBias

I’ll help you out with this one, it’s in the skincare aisle at Walmart and it’s called CeraVe Skin Care. (Psst…you can also find it on the sunblock and body lotion aisles.)

What makes CeraVe special is that it helps replenish the vital ceramides healthy skin needs. I’m such a geek you know I had to do a little research and learn more about ceramides. I'll spare you the science lesson, but will tell you that they occur naturally within our skin, in fact they’re a component of what we’re covered with at birth, but as we age they become depleted.

CeraVe is the first and only brand to offer a line of products that penetrates the skin’s surface to deliver a unique combination of ceramides that work to restore and maintain that natural protective function of our skin.

While I love knowing the science behind a product whether or not I'll keep using it really comes down to how it feels. CeraVe is the definition of silky. It makes my skin feels softer without any stickiness or shine.

Sometimes my skin can be sensitive so I also appreciate that CeraVe is non-irritating and fragrance-free; and most of their products also non-comedogenic, meaning they won't block your pores.

From now until May 9, 2016  you can get the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, and the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream at a Rollback price of $9.97 each at Walmart.

AND don't forget to grab this $2 coupon off any CeraVe product!

2. PUT IT WHERE YOU’LL USE IT

This seem like a no brainer but we're all guilty of coveting the good stuff and hiding it away. Here are a few tips to bring it out into the open because if you start looking at it every day chances are you'll start using it every day.

One of the quickest ways to make sure you wash your face is to keep your cleanser in the shower! #CeraVeSkinCare #CollectiveBias

Wash your face in the shower. You heard me. Seriously, it is so much easier and only takes a minutes to get your face wet, lather it up, and rinse. Because I have dry skin I like the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. It removes the daily build-up of dirt, oil and makeup and contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid that help keep my skin moisturized.

If you have normal to oily skin you’ll want the CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser.
Both cleansers come in a handy pump bottle and fit in a shower caddy so there's no excuse not to wash your face.

Washing your hands a lot dries them out horribly, be sure to moisture too! #CeraVeSkincare #CollectiveBias

Keep it on the counter. Don't hide your products under the sink! If you're in a hurry you're not going to want to dig around trying to find your lotion. Keep it on the counter, it's okay, your guests will get over the clutter and may even start using the same products.

When I get out of the shower, I pat dry, and instantly reach for the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. It's perfectly fine to use all over your body and with short season upon us it makes my legs feel so soft after shaving.

Save a little space in your desk drawer for lotion so you can feed your skin when it needs it! #CeraVeSkincare #CollectiveBias

Stash it in a drawer. If you spent most of your day at work stash a container of lotion in your desk. If you work from home put it ON your desk. If you spend your day running around the house after little ones, put it on top of the fridge or anywhere else you’re likely to see it and remember to use it. The CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion is great to have on hand and not only moisturizes but also provides broad spectrum sun protection.

This little container of sunscreen by CeraVe is the perfect size for your purse. No excuse not to protect your skin! #CeraVeSkincare #CollectiveBias

Bring it with you.  Your skin needs protection from the sun year round. The CeraVe Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 is just the right size to slip into your bag so you've always got it with you. It provides broad spectrum, lightweight sun protection plus those vital ceramides, and on those days when you decide to take a detour to the park you'll be glad you have it with you.

OH MY GOSH! Is that me? Protect your skin in the sun! #CeraVeSkincare #CollectiveBias

3. KEEP DOING ALL THE OTHER THINGS

Don't think that you can stop doing things like staying active, getting enough water, and eating right, once you incorporate skin care into your routine. Keep at it! Sure, maintaining good habits can be harder than creating them, but speaking from experience, there is a confidence that comes from repeatedly doing what's good for our body and it's sooo worth it.

Start taking care of your skin today!
