Lemon Meringue Cake

We aren’t even a week into spring and it’s already snowed (and melted) twice here in Missouri but I haven’t let that deter me from enjoying the new season. Today I’m sharing with you a recipe that my husband called, “…possibly the best thing you’ve made yet.” Since it’s relatively easy to make it is sure to be my go-to dessert this spring and summer. Hope you enjoy it!

Paper Clip and Washi Tape Flowers

#PaperClipFlowers #washitape #flowers #wreath

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I’m done with the ‘world market’ look we have going on, a girl can take only so many shades of beige, right? Coupled with this post partum funk I’ve been trying to shake, my drab surroundings have left me both drawn to color and eager to find ways to bring more of it into our house.

While playing with a paper clip inspiration struck. With a couple twists and a bit of washi tape I created a quick bouquet of colorful flowers that added a nice punch of color to our front door wreath. I’m sure they could also be used in place of the real thing in a vase or pot, pinned to your favorite spring sweater, or turned into a magnet for the fridge. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.
