I'm Still Here! I Promise!

I've got so much I want to talk about and share but I'm only now at a point where I can look at my to-do list and know I can actually check off more than take a shower. Until I find that moment to unleash all that's been going on in my head here's an update on our addition.

We've been moving in. Sure it still needs baseboard and, ahem, doors but we needed to get on with it. Part of that getting on has been trying to create and use our new school room. We've got a long way to go but it feels so good to be making progress no matter the speed, or lack there of!

Thanks for hanging in there with me, I promise there IS more to come!

Pin In–Did It: DIY Burp Clothes

#DIYBaby #sewing #recycled

I meant to share these awesome burp clothes last Wednesday but I have to admit, I ran out of time and energy. I forgot how taking care of a new baby can quickly encompass your entire existence. That said, while I’ve been peed and pooped on I have yet to be puked on! Yay me! My husband on the other hand has managed to stain a couple of his own t-shirts. Why? He doesn’t use a burp cloth!

These ones from Cloud 9 Fabrics have an awesome design that curves around your neck and shoulder, or across your chest depending on how you hold it, as well as fitting perfecting around the face and shoulders of your little one.

While I did make a number of these out of flannel I also made a set using flannel and terry cloth recycled from an old towel. They are super absorbent and actually my favorites. Here’s a picture from when I cut them out.

Be sure to stop by and give Cloud 9 Fabrics a little love for sharing this easy to sew burp cloth pattern!
