Sometimes I do little projects around the house and don't think of them as being creative enough to share here. This would be one such project.
Do you get subscription boxes? I've gotten a few of the Target boxes this year and I couldn't bring myself to throw that sturdy box into the recycling bin. Instead I decoupaged it and turned it into a card box. You know, to either hold cards you get or cards you plan on giving. Either way, it's pretty handy.
Here's a quick visual and a couple more ways you can use the boxes you might have stacking up from subscription services. Also, remember these boxes can be wrapped, decoupaged and even painted so it's always fun to try to upcycle them before you recycle them.
Gift Giving
You can wrap both the box and lid to create a posh little gift box for birthdays or the holidays! We have a few we use every year to both store ornaments and give gifts. Double sided tape is the key to making it longer laster and more polished looking.
Storage
These boxes really are pretty sturdy and a great size for storing crafty bits and bobbles, kids artwork, cards, Lego instruction sheets, you catch my drift. No need to make it pretty just slap a label on the end of it so you know what it holds.
Do you have crafty projects you've written off as not creative enough to share?
Let me know in the comments. I love hearing from you!
