Girl Scout Cookie - Thank You Badges

ThankYouBadges #GirlScoutCookies #stampingprojectsCookies are a big deal for Girl Scouts not just because they’re our biggest fundraiser of the year, but also because they offer valuable lessons in money, from working for it, to saving and spending it wisely. Like everything in Girl Scouts, the business of selling cookies is led by the girls; they set their goals, they work towards them, and they determine the rewards. In addition, they complete age appropriate challenges to earn badges while they’re introduced to the world of commerce.

Customer service is a cornerstone of any good business and selling cookies IS a business for these ladies. So, learning the power of a heartfelt thank you, both verbal and in writing, is essential. Usually I have my daughter write little notes of gratitude but this year we made Thank You Badges for all our orders with the help of our PSA Essential Stamps.
  • Peel and Stick Just a Note and Frenchie Stamps
  • Royal and Orange Ink Pad
  • Stamper and Alignment Tool
  • cardstock
  • curling ribbons
  • EK Tool 2 inch scalloped paper punch
  • Scalloped label sheets
To start this project I used the paper punch to create a number of badges. We tried to use colors that complimented the very colorful boxes of cookies but also stood out so they wouldn’t go unnoticed.

Using the Thank You stamp, the ring stamp from the Frenchie set, and the Royal and Orange ink pad we started stamping our badges. Changing out the ink pad is super easy and opens up even more stamping options. I love the two color option stamps too!

This was a job for the kids and even if he’s not a Girl Scout, Vin wanted to help his sister. Okay, okay, he might not have wanted to help his sister but there was no way he was going to watch her use the stamper without him!

The alignment tool helped with centering the stamp. We didn’t just use the cardstock, I also had a couple extra sheets of round, scalloped-edged labels from another project that worked perfectly. For those we went back to the black ink pad.

Finally we decorating our boxes with the curling ribbons, badges, and labels!

Showing thanks for the support received is as important a part of the cookie business as selling cookies! Whether you have, or know, a Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, or Ambassador, this project makes showing gratitude fun and easy!
