10 Things to Know About Me

For over a week now I’ve been prepping and obsessing over my trip to BlogHer and more specifically the ROYO I’ll be leading. I was checking in on one of the Facebook groups to see if I found any cab/walking buddies and stumbled upon this post by Steph over at A Grande Life. I’ve been so busy thinking thinking seriously this was just the lighthearted fun I needed! So, if you meet me at BlogHer or anywhere really, here are 10 things to know about me. (P.S. You can also check out my about me page for another list of Erin trivia.)

  1. I hate gum, so don’t ask if I want a piece, but I will gladly take a mint though.
  2. In 1980 we lived in Washington and I watched Mount St. Helen erupt.
  3. My favorite color is red.  (The Red Studio by Matisse)Flickr-MatisseRedRoom
  4. Growing up I never considered getting married or having kids, it just wasn’t a goal of mine. My husband and I actually eloped and honestly we could have gone to the court house and I would have been happy. I’m just not big on the pomp and circumstance of weddings or public proclamations of love in general. He knows I love him, I know he loves me, and we show it to each other everyday. That’s enough for me.
  5. I’m nearly 6 ft. tall, 5’11 1/2” to be exact.
  6. Just ‘cause I’ve seen it on other lists, I went to my first concert at Six Flags St. Louis to see The New Kids On The Block who were opening for Tiffany. new-kids-on-the-block
  7. I’m the oldest of four.
  8. We don’t use paper towels in our house, we use real ones.
  9. My favorite 80’s movie is Pretty In Pink, Annie Potts and Molly Ringwald at their best. annie-potts-and-pretty-in-pink-gallery
  10. Right this moment I’m listening to Same Love by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. My son was the one who told me about it. Moments like these I’m so proud of him, it confirms that he is a thinking member of the human race filled with a genuine love for his fellow man that’s deftly hidden behind the disgruntled and often aloof face of a teenager.
