A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I use to actually pull out the Mod Podge and make stuff. Here’s a little home décor DIY project I made, oh, about a year ago.
Skeleton Key Artwork
Let me start by introducing you to a very awesome website, you may or may not be familiar with it. Blockposter.com allows you to take an image and make it any size you’re little heart desires.
So to make this piece of art I went over to The Graphics Fairy and found these two keys and then followed the prompts on Blockposter.

Once I had the images printed out. I taped them together and also put a tape around the part of the image I would be cutting out.

Then I cut out the image with an X-acto knife.

Next I laid the stencil onto the canvases I had already covered with old dictionary pages. You can see up at the top of the key things got tricky. There I used double-sided tape to hold the individual pieces in place.

Then I began painting.

Once the paint had dried I removed the stencil and sprayed a coat of Mod Podge sealer over the entire canvas.

This is so neat! Thanks for sharing!
