Earth Day and Entenmann’s Little Bites

As a blogger, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of different companies and on various projects. Few were as near and dear to my heart as this one! Recycling and sustaining our environment are big deals to me and my family, which is why I whole-heartedly jumped at the chance to share this little bit of news with you!

thumb_E0C064CEEEAB45D4BF5D88E86421D9A7Entenmann’s Bakery, in particular it’s Little Bites brand, is partnering with not just TerraCycle but also the Arbor Day Foundation as part of two major eco-initiatives for Earth Day 2015! If you haven’t tried Little Bites what are you waiting for? They’re great for snack time, or on the go and come in classic flavors like Chocolate Chip Muffins and Crumb Cake. This year they’ve added a new flavor to the lineup Little Bites Party Cakes. Anyway, trust me they’re delicious, I mean they are Entenmann’s; now on to the eco-news!

Little Bites Tote 2015 highresFor the third year Entenmann’s is joining forces with the upcycling experts at TerraCycle not just help raise funds for schools but also, and this is my favorite part, create new lives for used Little Bites pouches! As part of the Little Bites “Turn Trash to Cash” program, participating Pouch Brigades throughout the country collect empty Little Bites pouches to earn points that can be redeemed as cash for the school; the used packaging can also be turned into innovative new products at TerraCycle such as this tote.

If you’re not a part of a school, you know-maybe you’re a crazy homeschooler like me, you can still be a part of this program and please take a moment to visit Terracycle to learn more!

New this year Entenmann’s Little Bites has also announced that it is partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation. Through a special Facebook Sweepstakes, for every entry received (fan or not), Entenmann’s Little Bites will donate $1 to the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree, up to 25,000 trees.  The Sweepstakes is going on right now and runs through April 23, 2015.

So, when you enter the Arbor Day Foundation will receive a donation and you will have the chance to be one of 25 first prize winners who will be awarded free Entenmann’s Little Bites snacks for one year (as 52 Little Bites $5 coupons, a $260 retail value.) There will also be an assortment of weekly prizes up for grabs including: 100 second place prizes of a Little Bites upcycled tote bag and four Little Bites $5 coupons (a $35 retail value), and 150 third place prizes of one Little Bites $5 coupon. Entry is through the Sweepstakes on the Entenmann’s Little Bites Facebook page. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET April 23, 2015.

For additional information, including official sweepstakes rules, visit the Little Bites Facebook page.
