Disclosure: I received Trash Packs and Glitzi Globes to hand out during Halloween this year. The opinions expressed are my own.
This year weather threatened to ruin Halloween. Storm clouds passed overhead, a fine mist fell from the sky, and the wind blew wet leaves off the trees. Thankfully, as the sun descended the sky cleared and the kids, decked out in a variety of Halloween costumes, trickled out of their homes and onto the streets!
We live in a small town and with each year it seems fewer and fewer homes participate in Halloween but thankfully those that do make sure it’s a treat for the kids. This year we were one of those houses because I was handing out something that would last longer than a piece of candy. The fine folks at Moose Toys sent me a box filled with Trash Pack and Glitzi Globe toys and it was a joy sharing them with my community!
I don’t really know anything about the Trash Pack except that my eight year old spent over an hour playing with the one I let him open! They kind of remind me of the Garbage Pail Kid cards I collected when I was his age, except the Trash Pack didn’t seem as gross, if that’s possible for a toy that’s a personification of trash! :)
The Glitzi Globes on the other hand, I LOVED! What can I say I’m such a girl sometimes. They’re little (and I mean little) DIY snow globes. Sincerely, after helping my daughter with hers I resisted the urge to open one up for myself! Just be forewarned they have really little pieces so be sure to follow the instructions.
Here are a few photos from the night and those trick or treaters who braved the rain! If you stopped by and picked up your own toy, or even if you didn’t, be sure to visit the Trash Pack and Glitzi Globe Facebook pages to say thank you!
