Wordless Wednesday

Earlier this summer we found this egg in the middle of the yard. I told the kids it was probably too late for the baby but they didn’t believe me. Later in the day I discovered it wrapped in moss next to the tree with their swings in it. Today I thought it would be fun to share photos from the garden. Many of them are the creatures we’ve found. If you follow me on Instagram the Cardinal eggs might look familiar, I was lucky enough to get pictures of the chick after it had hatched. Truly awesome.

I guess I should also say I’m assuming it was a Cardinal. That was the bird we saw flying away from the nest, more than once.

I have no idea what kind of moth this is but I thought it was beautiful.

How could I not share two pictures of this beauty?

Hope you’ve been enjoying the views from your own garden this year!
