Bubble Tin

Last Sunday my husband and I had some time alone around the house and so we did what we usually do without kids in the house.  He went his way and I went mine, I swear we love each other…truly!  While he sanded, prepped, and admired the lovely piece of furniture you see below (look for upcoming before and after) I put together the, ahem, craft you see above.  I call it a bubble tin, and while it may illicit a number of pornographic nicknames it provided me a chance to play and get creative on a whim, which is something I don’t allow myself to do enough!

  • mini plastic eggs
  • small tin
  • spray paint preferably one for plastic
  • glue gun

I feel like this craft doesn’t really need instructions but just in case.

Separate your plastic eggs into two pieces and hot glue to the tin in a pattern of your choosing.

Spray paint the entire creation.  We went with black ‘cause that was all we had and I’m so impatient I couldn’t wait.  We used Krylon Fusion for Plastic.

I know it looks funny, but it is fun!   The kids loved it and rattled off a number of different ideas including turning it into a multi-eyed monster!  Why did I paint it black again?  Oh, well!  I added more eggs to the lid and it now resides in my oldest son’s room where it blends in with the rest of his dark belongings.

I hope you enjoyed this crafty idea, please take a moment to visit the Linky Party Page to see where I like to share stories like this one!
